Vinny Nicosia has been playing drums since the 60's. He's worked in almost every musical situation imaginable, from country and rockabilly through blues, swing, jazz, big band, and even Off-Broadway.  Vinny's had the honor of sharing the stage with Linda Hopkins, Joe Bushkin, Jerry Dodgeson, Joe Puma, Ronnell Bright and jammed with Dick Hyman. A drum student and historian, he's studied with Sonny Igoe and Gary Chester.  All this brings him to this project, one close to his heart. When asked to try out for the drum spot, Vinny jumped at the chance to emulate one of his longtime heroes, Levon Helm. In his own words, "Any drummer with ears knows Levon is one of the greatest ensemble players on the planet and Richard Manual ain’t no slouch either."
